Bob Garretson is a Navy veteran, financial planner, husband, father, and dedicated community volunteer with the experience to move Muskegon forward. With a strong background in public administration and finance, and a deep passion for serving others, he knows how to build a sustainable and vibrant community.
Seventeen years ago, Bob and his wife, Heather, chose Muskegon, her home town, to be their hometown. Bob moved his business headquarters here and has prioritized supporting youth programs, the arts, local business development, and community initiatives. Bob understands the challenges residents face and is committed to real solutions that strengthen every neighborhood.
As mayor of Muskegon, Bob will focus on housing, lakes, parks and arts, and economic growth, making Muskegon a place where everyone can live, work and play.
